Lisa brings to Open Door 30 years of leadership experience; she has worked in the voluntary sector,
supporting children, young people and families, for the last 15 years. Her heart is to see the
vulnerable, marginalised and those impacted by life’s difficulties, thriving, and not just surviving. Lisa
is a passionate networker and collaborator, believing that it’s by working together across a
community that drives change and can make a lasting difference to people’s lives. Lisa is most likely
to be heard saying, ‘I wonder if….’ and ‘thank you’.

Tim
Tim is an experienced manager, having worked and volunteered in a day centre for over 10 years. Having a heart for those who have met difficult times for whatever reason Tim is keen to facilitate pathways leading to stability in their lives. He knows great change can happen by small acts of kindness through ordinary people like himself.
Kayley
Kayley has a natural heart for supporting families, knowing many of the challenges that parenting
brings as a mum/stepmum to five children in a blended family. She loves using natural and
sustainable play materials, advocates messy play and has a passion for creating nurturing
environments for children and parents. Most likely to be heard saying ‘I have an idea!’
Kit
Kit is our Café Chef and as all our staff, volunteers and customers will testify, is a ray of sunshine! Always smiling, she cooks over 60 meals per day, from delicious fried breakfasts to amazing homemade specials including roast dinners and a famously tasty lasagne! Kit herself would say, she couldn’t do it without her fantastic kitchen helpers, they are the ‘dream team’! Kit is most likely to be heard… singing!
Sandy
Sandy is incredible! She handles all aspects of our administration and office management, supporting Helen and each of the project leaders in whatever way is needed and always with a smile. She will be the first person you reach when you contact Open Door via phone or email, and will always do her best to help. Most likely to be heard asking, ‘How can I help you?’ She’s lovely!
Maureen
Maureen is our wonderful Cafe Project Leader. She oversees all elements of the Café Project, from food service, to support work, to reporting, budgeting and planning, and supporting the volunteer teams! Maureen is passionate about listening to customers, clients, volunteers and staff to make sure the project is the best that it can be. Most likely to be heard saying, ‘Pudding for table 10 please!’
Hayley
Hayley is our Kitchen Assistant and is a joy to have in the kitchen! She and Kit make an excellent team, always positive, always caring about our customers, and serving over 60 meals per day, from delicious fried breakfasts to amazing homemade specials including roast dinners and a famously tasty lasagne! Hayley is happy to help anyone, and is most likely to be seen… smiling!
Rose
Rose has been with ICE since September 2019. She is currently overseeing the mentoring program ICE provides at the college. Rose has 7 years of experience in youth work and is passionate about enabling young people to grow and flourish in every area of their lives. Alongside mentoring, Rose has worked in partnership with the college RE department to provide events and lessons for students across the school years. She loves getting to know people and hearing their story.
Dianne Conduit
Dianne brings a life long passion to improve the health and well-being of communities, families and individuals through co-production and social action. An ability to develop strategies, see opportunities and mobilise action is a particular strength.
With over 40 years experience of health and social care within the public and commercial sectors as a nurse, and senior leader, Dianne brings knowledge and experience of governance, service improvement, information and knowledge management and safeguarding to Open Door.
Dianne was a trustee and later chair of Young Devon from 2012-2021 and is excited to be part of Open Door with it's proven track record of making a positive difference to so many peoples lives through its many and varied projects.
Peter Chalkley
Peter is a retired Operations Manager for Devon County Council Social Services, Children and Young People's Service, and is our Safeguarding Officer. He brings a keen awareness of social issues and a wide knowledge of statutory services. He is also one of our Project Leaders for Men’s Shed. Peter is a member of Hope Church, Exmouth.
