Community Craft Room
The Craft Room is a space to learn and share craft skills, with a variety of projects and activities on offer and a relaxed, welcoming place to make friends.
Having started in October 2019, it wasn’t long before the pandemic forced us to move to craft sessions via doorstep deliveries, facebook and zoom!
However, we are now very happy to be back meeting in person, working on all sorts of projects, including: Fabric printing, Sewing, Card making, Lino printing, Embroidery, Wire work, Crochet, Wood turning, Wooden bird boxes, Drawing, Felt decorations, Paper decorations, Needle felting, Floristry decorations, Collage art, Appliqué fabric pictures, and our latest act of ‘Craftivism,’ leaving small ‘ray of sunshine’ gifts around town for people to take home, hopefully spreading a little cheer!
“The craft room sessions have given a really enjoyable structure to my week. It has been so good to see faces and to see their creative activity and to have some interesting chat!”
