Autumn Project Updates

Autumn Project Updates

In our Summer newsletter, we were excited to announce the launch of our sixth project, Haven, three mental health and wellbeing support groups: for primary aged children, for secondary aged young people, and for their parents. Since then, our wonderful team has been busy training in Mental Health First Aid, Safeguarding, and Effective Listening, and preparing all the policies, plans, publicity and resources. Referral forms are currently being distributed and Haven will officially open on
Monday 9th January! For more information, see our website or call Project Leader, Jenna Burnett on: 01395 255672.

We were delighted to hear that our Community Café was selected to receive a weekly food donation as part of the Tesco FareShare Food Cloud, helping to reduce waste. This has been a huge blessing so far, helping to reduce our food costs, maximising profits from the café which go straight back into the charity, enabling us to continue helping those most in need. Thank you Tesco, we are truly grateful.

Finally, we have been in conversation with local domestic abuse support services, Splitz and Safe, and have identified a need for a weekly support group to help rebuild self esteem. If you have any experience or training in this area and think you could help us develop this support, we would love to hear from you. Please contact Helen, Projects Director, for more information.
