Daryl Fulls • Chair
Daryl is Operations Director for Coastguard Road, distributing Moshulu shoes through 30+ stores and wholesale customers. He is also Chair of South West Youth Ministries (SWYM) which recruits and trains youth workers for churches and outreach projects, and he works with Seeway Trust with responsibilities for a new project in Tanzania. Daryl brings vision and energy to opendoor and an ability to see new development opportunities. Daryl is a member of Christchurch, Woodbury. Peter Chalkley
Peter is Operation Manager for Devon County Council Social Services, Children and Young People's Service. He has lived in Exmouth for 29 years and knows the area well. He brings a keen awareness of social issues and a wide knowledge of statutory services; he also effectively guides trustees through our meetings in order to keep up momentum and progress. He is a member of the Kings Way Church, Exmouth.
John Wynne • Treasurer
John is a chartered accountant now working as a management consultant for a variety of UK companies. His business skills and experience are of enormous help in ensuring opendoor maintains a secure financial base and in developing our funding strategies. He is a member of Christchurch, Woodbury and has lived in the village for ten years.
Christine Barker-Bey
Christine has been a trustee for five years after originally being involved through Christians Together in Exmouth (CTE). opendoor is close to her heart following some difficult personal experiences. She has lived in the town centre for 16 years and works in retail where she has contact with a number of local people. She is a member of All Saints C of E in Exmouth.
Noel Harrower
Noel is the retired Deputy Principal Careers Officer for Nottinghamshire and was Chairman of the Nottingham Inter Faith Council in 2003/4. He is an elder at Glenorchy United Reformed Church, Exmouth.
Barry Smith
Having moved to Devon from Manchester almost 20 years ago, Barry has lived in Exmouth for the last 12 years. He served in the Royal Navy for 8 years including active service in the Falklands Campaign in 1982. He has since worked with children and young people for almost 25 years in a variety of settings including; a secure unit, residential care homes and schools and a play and community bus. He currently teaches literacy, numeracy and ICT at Bicton College. He is married to Kate and they have two boys aged 12 and 9. The family worship at Brixington Community Church. Barry is responsible for the co-ordination of the Early Nightshift Project.
Mick Cox
Mick lived in Enfield, North London from birth until 2001,
when he moved to Wiltshire to take up the post of CEO of COUNTIES, a national
evangelistic organisation. On retirement, he and his wife Jennie moved to
Exmouth in 2007, where he very soon became involved in the opendoor Nightshift
project. On leaving school at 16, Mick became a TV service
engineer. He then went on to lecture in
electronics at Southgate Technical College for 20 years and then on to Marks
& Spencer for 11 years as a development Technical Manager. Since leaving M&S, Mick has worked for
various Christian organisations, namely The Saltmine Trust, Youth for Christ
International in the Middle East and North Africa area and latterly, COUNTIES.
He and Jennie have two adult children, a daughter and family
living in Exeter and a son and family in Tewin, Hertfordshire, with six
grandchildren in total. Their local
church is Christ Church, Woodbury.
