Peter Chalkley • Chair

Peter is Operation Manager for Devon County Council Social Services, Children and Young People's Service. He has lived in Exmouth for 29 years and knows the area well. He brings a keen awareness of social issues and a wide knowledge of statutory services; he also effectively guides trustees through our meetings in order to keep up momentum and progress. He serves on the leadership team at the Kings Way Church, Exmouth.

Daryl Fulls • Secretary

Daryl is Operations Director for Coastguard Road, distributing Moshulu shoes through 30+ stores and wholesale customers. He is also Chair of South West Youth Ministries (SWYM) which recruits and trains youth workers for churches and outreach projects, and he works with Seeway Trust with responsibilities for a new project in Tanzania. Daryl brings vision and energy to opendoor and an ability to see new development opportunities. Daryl is a member of Christchurch, Woodbury.

John Wynne • Treasurer

John is a chartered accountant now working as a management consultant for a variety of UK companies. His business skills and experience are of enormous help in ensuring opendoor maintains a secure financial base and in developing our funding strategies. He is a member of Christchurch ,Woodbury and has lived in the village for ten years.

Christine Barker-Bey

Christine has been a trustee for five years after originally being involved through Christians Together in Exmouth (CTE). opendoor is close to her heart following some difficult personal experiences. She has lived in the town centre for 16 years and works in retail where she has contact with a number of local people. She is a member of All Saints C of E in Exmouth.

Judy Turner

Judy has lived in Exmouth for more than 30 years, and through her husband's family has been connected with the town for much longer. As a family they have always been concerned with those less fortunate than themselves and so she feel she is continuing a family tradition. She has been associated with the opendoor since its inception in Rolle Street in 1995 and particularly identifies with its ecumenical Christian ethos. Judy’s tradition is Roman Catholic.

Lynn Renouf

Lynn has lived in Exmouth since 1985. Married to Peter they have four children. She works as a hospicecare nurse in Budleigh Salterton and has been involved with the opendoor since it began in a shop in Rolle Street in 1995. Lynn continues to support the project because it makes a difference to people’s lives. Lynn is a member of Christchurch Exmouth.

Noel Harrower

Noel is the retired Deputy Principal Careers Officer for Nottinghamshire and was Chairman of the Nottingham Inter Faith Council in 2003/4. He is an elder at Glenorchy United Reformed Church, Exmouth.

Adele Atkinson

Adele has lived in Exmouth since August 2006 having moved down from Castle Donington in Derbyshire. She supports her husband who is the pastor of Brixington Community Church. They have two teenage children. Adele is involved in leading the worship group and youth clubs. She runs two email support networks for the spouses of training and ordained pastors. She works at Exmouth Community College as a cover supervisor teacher. Adele took up the post of administrator/coordinator for nightshift in June 2007 and she also works on the Exmouth CCTV crew. She feels strongly about working as a team, to bring the love of God to people through practical activities.
