At work in school
For the past 15 years ICE (Initiative in Christian Education) teams have been working in the Exmouth Community College delivering assemblies, RE lessons and providing lunch-time support.
Out of school activities include the 'We love...' projects which have offered opportunities for young people to engage in social action mission in different parts of town.
Led and managed by the church based youth workers the ICE Project is focussed primarily on schools work but the collaborative effort of churches working together through their youth leaders also includes activities outside school.
One of these is 'Breakout Cafe', an after school venue on Mondays and Fridays from 3.30-5.30pm where young people can meet, play games, eat, and where relationships with the team can be developed further.
The ICE project team also co-ordinates 'Interface' a youth worship event designed to build a bridge between school and church.
Our aim is to support the young people of Exmouth in their physical, social and spiritual development.
