Haven is all about building confidence and self esteem, encouraging young people, helping them to find coping strategies for the tough times in life, so what better way to do all these things, than by taking on all sorts of wonderful, scary, fun challenges at the Heatree Activity Centre!
25 children and young people attended across the 2 days, taking part in raft building, a high ropes course, tight rope walking, fencing and a mud stream scramble! Fears were faced, from the battle to leave the house and face the unknown, to the fear of being 10 metres up in the air! The children were all amazing, showing incredible love, care and support for each other and were all so proud of what they’d achieved. Two very special days, building confidence, making memories. A big thank you to all our amazing helpers on the day and to Co-op Funeral Care who covered the cost for those who couldn’t afford it.
